SOAR (Student Organizing Against Racism) Club Meeting:What is SOAR? The Students Organized Against Racism Club is a dynamic and passionate student-led organization committed to combating racial discrimination and promoting inclusivity within our school community. With a mission rooted in the values of equity and social justice, this club provides a safe and empowering space for students of all backgrounds to come together, engage in meaningful discussions, and take action against racism. Our members work to raise awareness about racial issues, challenge stereotypes, and foster a more inclusive campus environment. Through a variety of activities, including educational workshops, guest speaker events, and community outreach, the Students Organized Against Racism Club actively advocates for change and actively supports the creation of an environment where all students feel respected and valued, regardless of their racial or ethnic background. This club is an essential force in our school community, empowering students to become agents of change and promoting a vision of a more just and inclusive future for all. Black Student UnionThe Black Student Union (BSU) is a campus organization intended to create a safe and inclusive space to support and empower Black students. BSU honors and celebrates Black culture and provides students with the knowledge and resources needed to combat racial hostility on campus. When: Next Meeting is Thursday 10/19 - BSU meets every other Thursday, in room Room 205 Q Group Meeting:Q Group is a space for LGBTQIA+ Tam students to meet and connect with each other. Any students who are interested can come to Wellness for a pass during Wednesday tutorials. Who: All LGBTQIA+ Tam students are welcome! When: Each Wednesday during tutorial Where: Wellness Center |
